Remote Notiﬁcation

You can program the 9516CW to call you at a different telephone number when there is a new message for you.

If the Remote Notiﬁcation call is not answered, the 9516CW will attempt to call you ﬁve more times. The Remote Notiﬁcation default is off.

To enable or disable Remote Notification:

1.Press the Set Options key.

2.Press ªto scroll to number 17 or press ⁄‡to go directly to the item.

3.Press • to enable or to disable remote notiﬁcation.

4.Press ®.

To set the remote Notification Number:

1.Press the Set Options key.

2.Press ªto scroll to number 18 or press ⁄°to go directly to the item.

3.Press •.

4.Using the dial pad enter the Remote Notiﬁcation number.

5.Press ß.

6.Press ®.

Note : You should enable the Remote Notiﬁcation feature from the number you want to be contacted at to avoid missing messages.

The 9516CW audibly alerts the remote location to remind them that the Remote Notiﬁca- tion feature is still enabled. Remote Notiﬁcation can be disabled by the remote location by pressing £.

For example:

If someone comes to visit you and uses your telephone number as the Remote Notiﬁca- tion number and forgets to disable it before leaving, you can disable Remote Notiﬁca- tion by pressing £.

If you have set up your 9516CW to call a paging system you must insert a pause between the pager number and the number to be paged. Pressing ˙inserts a three second pause between the two numbers. Depending on the type of paging service, multiple pauses may have to be inserted.

For example:

If the pager number is 222-1234, and the number to be paged is 222-5678:

Dial 222-1234, press ˙˙222-5678.
