Mute mode

You can put the handset on mute, if you want to speak to someone without letting the caller hear the conversation.

On the device

1During a call, press C. Your caller cannot hear any- more.

2Press C again to continue with the call.

On the Cordless Telephone

1During a call, press ô Menu.

2Using [ select SECRET.

3Confirm with OK. Your caller cannot hear anymore.

4Press õ Exit to continue with the call.

The mute mode of the cordless telephone can also be switched on/off by pressing and holding C(at least 2 seconds).

Recording a Telephone Conversa- tion

You can record a telephone conversation. After recording, the äbutton flashes, and you can hear the recording like a message on the answering machine.

You must inform your caller when recording a tele- phone conversation.

1During a call, press b. The recording begins.

2Press b again to end the recording.

Forwarding a call

You can forward calls from the device to registered cordless telephones. From the cordless telephone, you can forward calls to the device or to other cordless telephones.

2Dial the number of the cordless telephone using the nu- meric keypad.

3Hang up.

To all cordless telephones

1During a call, press {.

2Hang up.

4Using [ select HANDSET 0.

5Confirm with OK.

6Press , to hang up.

To other cordless telephones

This function is available only if you have registered several cordless telephones with your device and the telephones are within the range of the machine.

1During a call, press ô Menu.

2Using [ select CALL TRANSFER.

3Confirm using OK.

4Select the cordless telephone to which you would like to transfer the call using [.

5Confirm using OK.

6Press , to hang up.

Getting back the telephone call

You can get a transmitted telephone call back, before the cordless telephone is picked up.

1Press ô Menu.

2Using [ select HANGING UP.

3Confirm using OK.
