On the cordless telephone

Press C to return to the previous menu level. Press

to close the menu and return to the starting mode.

Recording the outgoing message:

1Press [, and using [ to select VOICE MAIL.

2Confirm with OK.

3Use [ to select OUTGOING MSG..

4Confirm using OK.

5Using [ select EDIT ENTRY.

6Confirm using OK.

7Press ô Begin to start the recording. Wait for the confirmation tone before you say your text.

Using õ Exit you can cancel the recording.

8Press ô End to end the recording. The recording is played back.

9You can end the playback of the outgoing message us- ing ô End.

10 Press ô Yes to save the recording. Using õ No you can reach the recording menu.

The outgoing message must be longer than ten sec- onds and shorter than twenty seconds.

Playing back the outgoing message

1Press [, and using [ to select VOICE MAIL.

2Confirm with OK.

3Use [ to select OUTGOING MSG..

4Confirm using OK.

5Using [ select PLAY.

6Confirm with OK.

7You can end the playback of the outgoing message us- ing ô End.

8Press ô Yes to save the recording. Using õ No you can reach the recording menu.

Using anonymous outgoing messages

You can replace your personal outgoing message with the factory default anonymous message.

1Press [, and using [ to select VOICE MAIL.

2Confirm with OK.

3Use [ to select OUTGOING MSG..

4Confirm using OK.

5Using [ select DEFAULT.

6Confirm with OK.

7Using ô select Yes to switch on the function. Using õ select No to switch off the function.

8Switching on the function: The outgoing message is played back. Using ô End, you can end the play- back.

Listening to Messages

On the device

Press #to play the next message. With the number keys, you can load the desired message directly. Dur- ing playback, press C and OK in order to delete the currently playing outgoing message. Using [, set the volume. Stop the playback with STOP.

Listening to New Messages

If new messages have been received on the answering ma- chine, the ä button blinks. The number of the new messages is shown on the display.

2Confirm with OK.

3The new messages are played back.

Listening to Messages Again

1Press b.

2Using [ select MESSAGES.

3Confirm with OK.

You can also call the function by pressing OK,

4Using [ select MESSAGE: PLAY.

On the cordless telephone

You can also call the function by pressing and hold- ing 1/b (at least two seconds).

Listening to new messages

If new messages are received, a message appears on the dis- play of the cordless telephone.

1Press OK.

2Select a message using [.

3Confirm using OK. The message is played back. You can cancel the playback or switch between messages.

Interrupting the playback: Press 2 to pause the playback; press 2 again to continue the playback.

Navigating: Press 1 to return to the beginning of the current message. Press 3 to play the next message.

Ending the playback: Press .

Playing messages again

1Press [, and using [ to select VOICE MAIL.

2Confirm with OK.

3Using [ select MESSAGES.

4Confirm with OK.

5Using [ select PLAY.

6Confirm with OK.

7Select the desired message using [.

8Confirm with OK. The message is played back.

Press 2 to interrupt the current message. Press 1 and 3 to navigate among the messages.
