SMS to E-Mail

(Function is not supported in all countries and networks)

You can send an SMS to an E-Mail address.

1Press _.

You can also call the function by pressing [and selecting using [ SMS. Confirm with OK.

2Using [ select EDIT EMAIL.

3Confirm using OK.

4Enter the text as described under Sending SMS.

5Confirm using OK.

6Enter the e-mail address. Press and hold 0 until the @ character appears.

E-Mail addresses must not contain a space.

7Confirm using OK.

8Press ô Confirm to send the message. Press õ EDIT ENTRY to edit the message again.

SMS to fax

(Function is not supported in all countries and networks)

You can send an SMS as a fax to a fax machine.

1Press _.

You can also call the function by pressing [and selecting using [ SMS. Confirm with OK.

2Using [ select EDIT FAX.

3Confirm with OK.

4Enter the text as described under Sending SMS.

5Confirm using OK.

6Enter the desired number using the numeric keypad or select a saved entry.

7Confirm with OK.

8You can give a title (=¦reference) which appears in the heading of the fax.

9Press ô Confirm to send the message. Press õ EDIT ENTRY to edit the message again.

Notification by SMS

You can have an SMS message sent to a telephone number of your choice when faxes or SMS messages are received or the answering machine receives calls or voice messages in your absence.

1Press OK, 65 and OK.

2Use [ to select whether you would like to be in- formed about new SMS messages.

3Confirm with OK.

4Use [ to select whether you would like to be in- formed about calls in your absence.

5Confirm with OK.

6Use [ to select whether you would like to be in- formed about new fax messages.

7Confirm with OK.

8Use [ to select whether you would like to be in- formed about new messages on the answering machine.

9Confirm with OK.

10 Enter the number to which the SMS should be sent.

11 Confirm with OK. A message appears on the display stating the notification by SMS is activated.

Receiving an SMS

Check whether you have inserted and clamped in the paper correctly. The lever on the right next to the pa- per feed mechanism must be pushed back.

Received SMS messages are printed out automatically. If you have turned the automatic printing function off, the SMS messages will be stored. Your machine stores up to 30 received SMS messages.

After reception of a new SMS message, the ä but- ton lights up.

1Press ä.

2Select the SMS using [.

3Press ä. The Read SMS menu opens.

Loading Previously Read SMS Messages

1Press OK, 62 and OK.

2Using [ select the SMS that you would like to read. Unread SMS messages are marked with a *.

3Confirm with OK.

You can move the cursor using [. Press COPY to print the SMS message.

4Press STOP to return to the SMS list.

Press OK to call additional SMS functions.

On the Cordless Telephone

2Using [ select READ SMS.

3Confirm with OK.

4Select the desired message memory using [. The number of the messages contained in the folder is given in brackets.

NEW—Contains new messages

INBOX—Contains read and saved message.

SENT—Contains sent messages that you have saved.

DRAFT—Contains message that are yet to be sent

5Confirm with OK.
