INSTALLATION AND SETUP

	This chapter describes the following:
	■ How to decide where to install the Switch 9100
	■ Ethernet configuration rules
	■ How to install the switch in a rack or free-standing
	■ How to connect equipment to the console port
	■ How to check the installation using the Power On Self-Test (POST)
