Disconnecting a An administrator-level account can disconnect a management session Telnet Session that has been established by way of a Telnet connection. If this happens,

the user logged in by way of the Telnet connection is notified that the session has been terminated.

To terminate a Telnet session, follow these steps:

1Log in to the switch with administrator privileges.

2Determine the session number of the session you want to terminate by using the following command:

show session

3Terminate the session by using the following command:

clear session <session_number>

Disabling Telnet By default, Telnet services are enabled on the switch. You can choose to Access disable Telnet by entering:

disable telnet

To re-enable Telnet on the switch, at the console port enter

enable telnet {access-profile <access_profile> none} {port

<port_number>}

You must be logged in as an administrator to enable or disable Telnet.
