32 REV. PrAto PCIVAUX and VCTRLVDD will switch off the primary supply. USB applications may require an external high-effi-ciency switching regulator to generate the 2.5V supply for the ADSP-2192.

Low Power Operation

In addition to supporting the PCI and USB standards power down modes, the ADSP-2192 supports additional power down modes for the DSP cores and peripheral buses. The power down modes are controlled by the DSP1 and DSP2 Interrupt/Powerdown registers.

Clock Signals

The ADSP-2192 can be clocked by a crystal oscillator. If a crystal oscillator is used, the crystal should be connected across the XTALI/O pins, with two capacitors connected as shown in Figure 8 on page 33. Capacitor values are depen-dent on crystal type and should be specified by the crystal
