The module release latch automatically slides back into its proper position as you remove the module.
IMPORTANT You should not remove an expansion bay module if it is in use or you may lose data. If you try to remove the module when it is in use, you’ll see a message telling you to reinsert it. Reinsert the module, quit any files or programs that may be using the floppy disk (or other medium inserted in the module), then select the disk’s icon and choose Put Away from the File menu or drag the disk’s icon to the Trash. (If the module contains the startup disk, you can’t remove the module or drag the disk to the Trash.)
