Console Management

Overview The IntraSwitch 6216M and 6224’s Local Management Interface is a menu-driven application which provides management and configuration support for the unit and each of its ports.

The Local Management Interface can be accessed via two methods:

❏Out-of-band connection to the Console port.

❏In-band connection via Telnet (foursessions maximum).

This section describes each menu within the Local Management Interface as well as how to perform the configuration/management tasks outlined in Tables 5-1 and 5-2.
