3� Select the network to which you are try ing to connect a nd
click on “Properties”. You will see the following screen.
4� For a home or small bus iness user, select “WPA-PSK” under
“Network Authenticatio n”.
5� Select “TKIP” or “AES” un der “Date Encryp tion”. This setting
will have to be identical to the Router that y ou set up.
6� Type in your encryption key in the “Network key ” box.
Important: Enter your pre-sha red key. This can be f rom eight to 63
characters and can b e letters, numbe rs, or symbols. This same key
must be used on all of the clients that y ou set up.
7� Click “OK” to apply settings.
What’s the difference between 802�11g and draft 802�11n?
Currently there are thr ee commonly use d wireless netwo rking standards ,
which transmit data at very differen t maximum speed s. Each is based
on the designation for certifying ne twork standards . The most commo n
wireless networking s tandard, 802.11g, can transmit i nformation up
to 54Mbps; 802.11a also supports up to 5 4Mbps, but in the 5 GHz
frequency; and 802.11n draft specif ication can conn ect at up to
