If you connect to your of fice network f rom home using a V PN
connection, your Router will allow your VPN -equipped compu ter to pass
through the Router and to your office net work.

Built-In Dynamic Host C onfiguration Proto col (DHCP) on-boa rd makes
for the easiest possi ble connection o f a network. The DHCP server will
assign IP addresses to each computer a utomatically so th ere is no need
for a complicated netwo rking setup.

The Setup Assistant, second generati on of Belkin’s renowne d Easy
Install Wizard, takes t he guesswork out of setting up your Router. This
automatic software de termines your net work settings for you and sets
up the Router for conne ction to your Inter net Service Prov ider (ISP). In a
matter of minutes, your Router will be up a nd running on the Internet.
Note: Setup Assistant soft ware is compatibl e with Windows 200 0,
XP, and Vista; and Mac OS X v10.x. If you are using a nother operating
system, the Router can b e set up using the Alternate Setup M ethod
described in this Use r Manual (see page 20).

N MIMO is an exciting new w ireless technolo gy based on the d raft IEEE
802.11n specification. It employs MIMO ( Multiple Input Mul tiple Output)
smart-antenna technolo gy that achieves d ata rates of up to 3 00Mbps.*
*NoTe: The standard tra nsmission rate—300 Mbps—is the physical d ata
rate. Actual data throug hput will be lower.
MaC address filtering
For added security, you c an set up a list o f MAC addresses (u nique
client identifiers) th at are allowed acc ess to your networ k. Every
computer has its own MAC address. Simply enter these MAC ad dresses
into a list using the Web -Based Advanced User Interface and you can
control access to your network.
