Cabling Requirements: ET10000A

Table 19 outlines the standard cables used with each port on the ET10000A. The connector type listed indicates only what is required to connect to the ET10000A port, and may or may not be the same connector type required for the other end of the cable. Some cables are supplied by Black Box and others are user-supplied.

a.The 10/100 Ethernet management port is auto-sensing for polarity. You can use a unshielded Category 5 straight through cable or a unshielded crossover cable when connecting to this port.

NOTE

To meet the requirements of FCC Part 15 and the EU EMC Directive 2004/108/EC, use only shielded Category 5 cables with the ET10000A Ethernet management port.
