WIPE MODE

There are 3 modes for the wiper: Normal, Intermittent, and 5 Wipes.

NORMAL,

NORMAL

With Normal, the wiper will run while the button is depressed or

INT.,

between presses if latching. If Intermittent Wipe is on, instead of the

5 WIPES

camera continually wiping while activated, it will wipe approximately

twice every 60 seconds, until wipe is deactivated again. This function

would only be useful on systems with latching auxiliaries. The last

mode is 5 Wipes, which will perform 5 wipes every time the On

command is received.

In FV protocol, the wipe is stored as an auxiliary in the manual control

command, so if the wipe function is latched, the camera will receive a

Wipe On command every time the joystick is moved. So for this feature

a momentary wipe button would be preferable.

HOME TIME

The Home Time setting allows the user to determine the period of no

30 SEC,

5 MIN

control before the MIC activates the Home feature. This can be set to

1 MIN,

30 seconds, 1 minute, 5 minutes or 1 hour.

5 MIN,

1 HOUR

AUTO

Decreases the shutter speed of the unit when the light levels drop,

LOWLIGHT

rather than increasing the gain. Motion blur on the video may occur if

the frame rate drops sufficiently low, which may not be ideal for a

camera which is continually moving. However if still, the images will

not have the grain associated with low light conditions. The gain at

which a change is made and the lowest frame rate can be controlled

via the MIN INT SPEED setting.

POS DISPLAY

Enables the user to specify the line on which the position display is

shown.

MAX GAIN LVL

Changes the current shutter speed when the gain reaches the Max

+2dB -

24dB

Gain Level down to a point which is the Min Integration Level. Adjusts

+28dB in 2dB

the maximum gain level that the gain control adjusts to when set to

Controls the Auto Lowlight setting.

WIDE

The camera supports Wide Dynamic Range which manages to level out

the brightness in an image where there is a large range of luminance.

RANGE

For example a camera inside where the video is half inside and half

outside, may normally expose for the outside part making the inside

very dark, or for the inside part making the outside very bright. Wide D

levels this out giving a more evenly exposed image.

AUTO PAN

This setting defines the speed at which the camera will pan between

1 - 255

50

SPEED

its defined auto pan limits when the feature is activated. The speed

ranges from 1 to 255.

PROPORTION

With Proportional PTZ enabled the camera will monitor the current

zoom position and scale the pan and tilt speeds accordingly, which

provides more accurate control whilst zoomed in.

PAN TIMEOUT

This function stops the camera if continually panning for more than 60

ON, OFF

seconds without user input. This function is typically used on systems

where STOP commands get lost due to noisy communication lines.
