Scan/OCR

If your original is text, you can have it automatically converted by ScanSoft™ TextBridge® to an editable text file. Afterward, it will be displayed in your word processing application (such as Microsoft Word or Notepad) for further editing.

1	Place your original in the ADF or
	on the scanner glass.
2	Press Scan/OCR .
3	The copier/scanner will scan the	SCANNING:OCR

Scan to E-mail

You can scan either a black and white or a color original into your E-mail application (such as Microsoft Outlook or Netscape) as a file attachment. Although the Brother Control Center can be configured to send only black and white or color file attachments at one time, you can easily change this setting. (For details, see Chapter 7, “Using the Brother Control Center.”)

1	Place the original in the ADF or

2	Press Scan to E-mail .
3	The copier/scanner will scan the	SCANNING:E-MAIL
