Additional Memory

for Printing and Scanning

The memory board is installed on the main controller board inside the Brother machine. When you add the optional memory board, it increases the performance modes for printer operations.

Additional memory is useful and may be necessary if you want to download many different fonts or want to print a very complex document.

The digital copier/printer has 8 MB of memory. It can recognize 8 MB (ME8000) or 16 MB (ME16000) of Optional Memory. Be careful to purchase the appropriate memory board for your needs.

Paper Cassette #2 (Option)

You can purchase the Paper Cassette #2 accessory (LT400) to use as a third paper source. Cassette #2 holds up to 250 sheets of 20 lb. (75 g/m2) paper. Cassette #2 is seated in a tray shaped like the copier/printer. When you place the Brother machine on top of this tray, the machine and Cassette #2 will be attached.
