The connection, installation and operation instructions are available on the bundled CD-ROM for your USB equipped Apple Macintosh or iMac with Mac OS 8.5/8.6.

Before You Install the Brother Drivers

1Make sure the copier/printer is working properly.

2Unplug the Brother machine’s AC power cord and turn off the AC power to your Macintosh or iMac.

3Connect a standard USB cable to both the copier/printer and the Macintosh or iMac.

Installing Brother Printer and Scanner Drivers

1Turn on the power to your Macintosh G3 or iMac and Wait for the startup process to be completed.

2Plug in the DCP power cord to turn it on.

3Insert the Brother CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive. The CD-ROM icon will appear on the desktop.

4Double-click the Start Here icon in the CD-ROM’s folder. The installer screen will appear:

5Click Install DCP Printer Driver to begin the installation.

6Click Install DCP Scanner Driver to begin the installation.
