8 Select the [Access Control] tab sheet ➞ click either [Share-level access control] or [User-level access control].

9 Click [OK].

The server service is added.

Windows 2000/XP Server Settings

The following is the procedure to make your machine available to your network users, under Windows 2000/XP.

■Adding Server Service (Windows 2000)

1 From the [Start] menu, select [Settings] ➞ [Network and Dial-up Connections].

The [Network and Dial-up Connections] folder appears.

2 Right-click the [Local Area Connection] icon ➞ select [Properties] from the pop-up menu.

The [Local Area Connection Properties] dialog box appears.
