With the buttons on the toolbar, you can access settings which affect different aspects of image tone, and give you great flexibility in manipulating your image tone before scanning the image.

Viewing the tone graph gives you more detail about the tone setting. The shape of the tone graph changes to reflect the selected channel’s current tone settings. The graph is directly editable only when the Special Tone Curves is selected.
