If you are running Windows NT 4.0, go to the system prompt and type chkdisk. The computer will automatically scan for errors.
Reformat the hard drive.
Contact your Compaq authorized dealer, reseller, or service provider or the Compaq Customer Support Center for assistance.
CAUTION: Reformatting the hard drive erases all of your files permanently; be sure to make backup diskettes of your information before reformatting the drive. Compaq also recommends that you order a backup of your preinstalled software before reformatting your hard drive.
