INSERIMENTO DELLA EPROM

Prima di inserire/rimuovere la Eprom togliere l’alimen- tazione alla scheda.

Per un corretto funzionamento del sistema la Eprom deve essere inserita nell’apposito zoccolo sulla BOARD "A" e "B" facendo attenzione che la “tacca” sulla superficie della Eprom sia nella direzione della “tacca” di riferimento serigrafata sulla scheda.

Inserire la Eprom sul relativo zoccolo, controllando che tutti i piedini siano inseriti correttamente nelle loro sedi, quindi effettuare il MEMORY RESET come indicato nel relativo capitolo.

INSTALLATION OF THE EPROM

Switch off the system before connecting/disconnect- ing the Eprom.

When mounting the Eprom into its socket on the BOARD "A" and "B", pay attention to align the notch on the surface of the eprom with the corresponding notch on the socket.

Connect the Eprom into its socket and check that all pins are correctly inserted, than make the MEMORY RESET as indicated to the relative chapter.

Nel rimuovere l’Eprom prestare attenzione a non toccare i componenti SMD montati sulla scheda nello spazio inter- no allo zoccolo.

NOTA SU COME MANIPOLARE LE EPROM E LE SCHE- DE ELETTRONICHE

I danneggiamenti elettrici che si verificano sui compo- nenti elettronici avvengono quasi sempre a causa delle scariche elettrostatiche indotte dall’Operatore.

Èquindi necessario adottare adeguati accorgimenti per queste categorie di componenti, ed in particolare:

prima di maneggiare qualsiasi componente elettroni- co o scheda, toccare una messa a terra (una scarica di 10.000V, tensione molto facile da raggiungere con l’elettricità statica, produce un arco di circa 1cm).

i materiali devono rimanere per quanto possibile al- l’interno delle loro confezioni originali. Utilizzare un im- ballo antistatico ed evitare di toccare il retro della sche- da con le mani.

evitare nel modo più assoluto di utilizzare sacchetti in plastica, polistirolo o spugne non antistatiche.

estrarre dalle confezioni antistatiche originali solo una Eprom alla volta.

evitare di toccare con le mani i piedini dell’Eprom, af- ferrando il componente sulle zone che ne sono prive.

When removing the Eprom do not touch the SMD elec- tronic components mounted on the board in the internal space of the socket. Don’t touch them with any hardware tool.

NOTE ON HOW USING THE EPROM AND THE ELEC- TRONIC CARDS

Electrical damages of the electronic components are usually due to electrostatic charges induced by the Op- erator.

It is therefore necessary to pay attention to these compo- nents and specially to following:

before using any electronic component or card, touch a ground reference (a discharge of 10.000V, very common due to the static electricity, causes an arc of about 1cm).

materials should be left as long as possible inside their original packaging. Handle the boards carefully, without touching their rear part with the hands.

do not use plastic bags, polystyrene or non-antistatic sponges.

take out of the original antistatic packaging one Eprom at a time.

do not touch the pins of the Eprom.
