Fig.40

24 x (°C)

When room temperature is lower than 22.3°C the valve is completely CLOSED, when the room temperature exceeds 23.5°C the valve is completely OPEN.

The valve position in the work field (from 22.3 to 23.5°C) is identified by adjusting the opening or closing time, based on the room temperature and the time set in the "floating valve running time" parameter.

Example:

If the temperature ranges from 22.3°C (opening request = 0%) to 22.6°C (opening request = 25%), the valve’s open- ing time corresponds to:

opening percentage/100xfloating valve running time, i.e.: 25/100x150 = 37.5 seconds.

Accordingly, the opening relay is activated for 37.5 sec- onds, then both relays are deactivated, to allow the valve to remain in position (opened by 25%).

Should the room temperature rise (opening request = 55%), the total opening time of the valve would be 55/ 100x150 = 82.5 seconds.

Since the valve has been opened for 37.5 seconds, the opening relay is activated for 45 seconds (82.5–37.5). Then, both relays are disabled, to allow the valve to remain in position (opened by 55%).

Should the temperature fall, the closing relay is activated for a proportional time, calculated as above.

This procedure allows you to obtain a proportional regula- tion effect, also by using an ON/OFF servomotor.

The same operating logic is used with the "heating floating valve", for temperature changes below the set point. When the unit is switched on, independently of tempera- ture, the closing relay of the "cooling and/or heating floating valve" is activated for the time set in the "floating valve running time" parameter, in order to guarantee that the valve is completely closed.

Then, the regulation described above will begin.

This example is valid when the "cooling floating valve logic" parameter is set to "normal".

If it is set to "reverse", the opening/closing logic would be reversed.
