When the Thermistor T(R) conversiontype is selected, the coefficientsare dis-
played on the rightportion of the bottom of the display. Use the UD buttons
to scrollthrough the coefficients. Use the Enter button to edit and save the
newsetting. Press and hold the Exit button to cancel to the main display or
press the EXIT buttonto cancel and to move to the next parameter. On the last
parameter, press the Exit button to exit to the menu.
7.2.1.7 Thermistor R(T) Conversion [THERM-R]
The followingSteinhart-Hart equation is used for the thermistor R(T)
conversion:
rTK B BT BT BT( [ ]) exp[ ]= +++
−−−

The user-definedparameters for the thermistor R(T) conversion are B0 (B0)
through B3(B3) as shown on a typical Hart Scientific thermistor calibration re-
port. If B2isnot used, as is the case with some calibrations, B2 should be set to
0.0.
Note: Thermistor coefficientsstated on the thermistor calibration report may be
labeled differently. The best way to identify the coefficients to use with this
type is to match the equation above with the equation giveno n the calibration
report. Also, recognizethat the coefficients for this equation generally have
positiveexponents, e.g. B3: -6.23659E+06.
When the Thermistor R(T) conversiontype is selected, the coefficients are dis-
played on the rightportion of the bottom of the display. Use the UD buttons
to scrollthrough the coefficients. Use the Enter button to edit and save the new
setting.Press and hold the Exit button to cancel to the main display or press the
EXIT buttonto cancel and to move to the next parameter. On the last parame-
ter, press the Exit button to exit to the menu.
7.2.1.8 YSI-400 Conversion
The YSI-400 conversiontype is for 2252Ωthermistors matching the character-
isticsof the YSI-400 series of thermistors.
There are no user programmable coefficientsassociated with this conversion
type. Use the Enter button or Exit buttonto exit the menu.
7.2.1.9 Thermocouple Volts [Vin[mV]]
The thermocouplevolts displays the measurement in volts rather than
temperature.
Note: When selectingvolts as the conversion type for thermocouples, no
cold-junction compensation is available. The valuemeasured and d isplayed is
the uncompensated voltageas sensed at the input of the module.
There are no user programmable coefficientsassociated with this conversion
type. Use the Enter button or Exit buttonto exit to the menu.
