Chapter 4 Environment Creation

VSSHP supports the following installation methods.

•"4.1 New Installation" (page 34)

•"4.2 Upgrade Installation" (page 43)

When the "User Account Control" screen appears while performing installation, select [Accept] to

continue the process.

4.1 New Installation

Two types of VSSHP packages are provided. Refer to the following table to determine which package

corresponds to the OS being used, and then download and install this package.

This chapter describes the installation methods to enable target disk pool operation. For the installa-

tion methods to enable copy set operation, refer to "Chapter 4 Environment Creation" in "ETERNUS

VSS Hardware Provider 2.1 Copy Set Operation Technical Guide" as well as this chapter.
