4.1 New Installation

ETERNUS VSS Hardware Provider 2.1 User’s Guide

3After installation, continue to set the environment. The following window appears.

4Select "Backup server (Transportable copy)" and click the [OK] button.

The communication service (ETERNUS VSS Hardware Provider Communication Server service)

setting is performed.

The service name is registered as "stxvcommunication".

When the [Skip] button is clicked, installation completes without the environment being set. Set a

Shadow Copy destination and communication environment after the installation.

Refer to "Chapter 6 Operation Change" (page 45) for details.

The following window appears. Check the port number, select the IP version (IPv4 or IPv6), and

click the [OK] button.
