The "Find Servers" process in the HP MFP DSS Configuration Utility was not able to find an SMTP server.

Verify that an active SMTP server is on the network.

Click Add… on the E-Mailtab, and then type in the host name or IP address of the SMTP server. After typing in the address, click the Test button to verify that the software can contact the server.

problems on page 133.

 

 

An e-mail transmission did not arrive at the destination

If you typed the e-mail address at the control panel,

A document sent to a folder did not arrive at the destination folder.

Resend the document.

See if the file name was modified to resolve a duplicate- file-name error.

Check the activity log for error messages.

The bottom of a page that you sent is cut off.

If the document was sent from the glass, the document page might be too long. The maximum length for documents scanned from the glass is A4, or 210 x 297 mm (8.27 x 11.69 inches).

The control panel is using the wrong language.

Use the control-panel menu to set the correct language.

1.Touch Administration and then touch Language.

2.Select a language from the list of languages.

3.Touch OK.
