2In the Camera Sounds sub-menu, highlight the volume level you prefer.

3Press Menu/OK to save the setting and return to the Setup Menu.

The new setting remains in effect until

it is changed again, even when you turn the camera off.

Focus Assist Light

Sometimes in low-light situations, the camera will use the red focus assist light on the front of the camera to aid in focusing. This setting allows you to turn off this light (for example, when you do not want the focus assist light to distract the subject of your picture).

The default Focus Assist Light setting is Auto.

1In the Setup Menu (page 115), select Focus Assist Light.

2In the Focus Assist Light sub-menu, highlight Auto or Off.

3Press Menu/OK to save the setting and return to the Setup Menu.

NOTE HP recommends leaving this setting at Auto, since turning it off hinders the ability of the camera to focus correctly in low light.

The new setting remains in effect until it is changed again, even when you turn the camera off.
