When you create a new freestanding comment, it is initially displayed in the top left c orner
of the stream canvas.

If you are attaching a comment to a node or nugget, the comment is initially displayed above the
stream object to which it is attached.

The text box is colored white to show that text can be entered. When you have entered the text,
youc lick outside the text box. The comment background c hanges to yellow to show that text entry
is complete. The comment remains selected, allowing y ou to move, resize, or delete it.
