Adding Nodes from the Canvas
Youcan add individual node s from the stream canvas by using the Save dialog box.
ESelect a node on the canvas.
ERight-click, and click Save Node. Alternatively, on the main menu click:
Edit > Node > Save Node...
EIn the Save dialog box, select Add le to project.
ECreate a name for the node and click Save.
This saves the le and adds it to the project. Nodes are added to the Nodes fol der in Classes view
and to the default phase folder in CRISP-DM view.
Adding External Files
Youcan add a wide variety of non-S PSS Modeler objects to a project. This is useful when you
are managing the entire data mining process within SPSS Modeler. For example ,y ou can store
links to data, notes, presentations, and graphics in a project. In CRISP-DM view, external les
can be added to the folder of your choice. In Classes view, external les can be saved on ly to
the Other folder.
Toadd external files to a project:
EDrag les from the desktop to the project.
or
ERight-click the target folder in CRISP-DM or Classes view.
EOn the menu, click Add to Folder.
ESelect a le in the dialog box and click Open.
This will add a reference to the selected object inside SPSS Modeler proje cts.
Transferring Projects to the IBM SPSS Collaboration and Deployment ServicesRepository
Youcan trans fer an entire project, including all component les, to the IBM® SPSS®
Collaboration and Deployment Services Repository in one step. A ny objects that are already in
the target location will not be moved. This feature al so works in reverse: you can transfer entire
projects from the IBM SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services Repository to your loca l
le system.
