nosed pliers to remove or install a jumper; grip the narrow sides of the jumper with the pliers, never the wide sides. Gripping the wide sides can damage the contacts inside the jumper, causing intermittent problems with the function controlled by that jumper. Take care to grip with, but not squeeze, the pliers or other tool you use to remove a jumper, or you may bend or break the stake pins on the board.

Memory

The server board supports from 256 MB up to 12 GB of registered memory in six DIMM slots.

NOTES

Only DDR-200 or DDR-266 compliant RAM is supported by the server board.

A 1U chassis requires low-profile (LP) 1.2-inch (30 mm) tall DIMMs.

DIMMs must be populated in pairs and in the following order:

1B and 1A, then 2B and 2A, then 3B and 3A.

Installed DIMMs must be the same speed and must all be registered.
