SECTION 6—REAR WHEELS
iii.Position one (1) offset axle plate on the outside of the wheelchair frame in the appropriate position determined in STEP i.
iv.Position the second offset axle plate in the same position as the first one, on the inside of the wheelchair frame.
v.Install the two (2) mounting bolts and locknuts through hole 1 and hole 4 of both offset axle plates and the frame mounting holes to secure the plates to the wheelchair frame (Detail “A”). Hand tighten.
5.Install the permanent axle through the hub cap washer, rear wheel, two (2) spacers, offset axle plates and offset axle spacer.
WARNING
The offset axle spacer MUST be positioned between the two (2) offset axle plates. Otherwise, injury or damage may occur.
6.Tighten the two (2) locknuts securing the offset axle plates to the wheelchair frame. Torque to 30‐35 ft‐lbs.
7.Install the locknut onto the permanent axle. Torque to 40‐45 ft‐lbs.
