Adjusting Quick-Release Axle WARNING
NEVER use quick-release axles on the 9000 XT (models with offset axle option
only), 9000XDT or 9000XT recliner wheelchairs.
NOTE:Forthisprocedure,refertoFIGURE 6.4.
1. Removerearwheelandquick‐releaseaxlefromthewheelchair.Referto
Removing/InstallingRearWheelsonpage 52.
2. Depressdetentpininthequick‐releaseaxleandslideaxlethroughtherearwheelhub.
3. Releasedetentpinensuringthatthedetentballsarefullyreleased.
4. Increaseordecreaseendplaybyadjustingthelocknutontheendofthequick‐release
axle.
WARNING
Make sure detent pin and detent balls of the quick-release axles are fully released
before operating the wheelchair.
Keep detent balls clean.
5. Reinstallrearwheelontothewheelchair.RefertoRemoving/InstallingRearWheels
onpage 52.
