Pressing and holding the Mute button while the SDP-40 is activated opens the FACTORY SETTINGS menu shown at the left, which can be used to restore factory-default settings.

When the Shift command bank is activated, pressing the STAT button opens the status menu for the current input source. Status menus are available for 2-channel, Dolby Digital, dts(-ES), analog, and digital input sources.
