Using the Face Detection Self-timer

Pressing the SNAPSHOT button starts face detection, and
shooting is performed three seconds after another person
enters the frame.
This function is useful when you want to include the
photographer in the group photo.
1Select still image mode.

0The still image icon B appears.
2Tap “MENU”.

3Tap “SELF-TIMER”.

0Tap ∧ or ∨ to move upward or downward for more
selection.
0Tap L to exit the menu.
0Tap J to return to the previous screen.

5After making sure that everyone is facing the

camera, press the SNAPSHOT button.

0Frames appear around the faces of the subjects.
0Pressing the SNAPSHOT button again starts the 10-
second self-timer.
6The photographer enters the frame.

0The frames around the faces disappear when the
photographer is detected, and a countdown timer
appears.
0The shutter is released three seconds after the
photographer enters the frame.
0To stop the self-timer, press the SNAPSHOT button
again.

0The “FACE DETECTION” function may fail to detect faces
depending on the shooting environment.
