Para que la aguja pueda penetrar de forma efectiva en los tejidos duros tales como teta vaquera y Iona debera, emptearse una aguja para tela vaquera con una punta muy afitada. Para costuras a la vista debera, utilizarse una aguja especial con un ojo grande por et que pueda pasar un hilo grueso resistente.
