Fresh mussels

￿Prepare only mussels that are closed.

Do not eat mussels that have not opened after being cooked. Risk of food poisoning!

Soak fresh mussels in water for a few hours before cooking to rinse out any sand. Then scrub the mussels thoroughly to remove all fibers.

Frozen mussels

Defrost frozen mussels before cooking.

Cooking time

The longer mussels are cooked, the tougher they become.

Use the cooking times given in the chart.
