■MD LOCK OUT TIME
This item is used to restrict motion detection function in order to control the recording to prevent the continuous recording of the same image. Once the unit detects motion and starts alarm recording, the unit ignores the input of mortion detection for the time period set in the MD LOCK OUT TIME. Thus alarm recording is not extend for that time and the unit prevents an excess of continuous recording of the same object.
Set the setting value carefully because the necessary image may not be recorded due to the restriction of the alarm recording. It is recommended to set “MD LOCK OUT TIME” to “OFF” when there is no need to set this item.
This function restricts the detection of the coutinuous motion for the specified time period. The number of alarms listed in alarm list may increase depending on the setting.

1.In “SELECTION CAMERA NUMBER,” select the camera for which the MD lock out time is set.
2.Display the desired setting in “MD LOCK OUT TIME” and press the ENTER button.
•The setting item is determined.
The motion detection function may not start immediately after cancelling alarm interrupt.
Example
When setting MD LOCK OUT TIME and ALARM REC DURATION to 15S and 5S respectively:

Points to notice concerning motion detection
•If changes are detected repeatedly, alarm recording is also started repeatedly. Thus functions such as setting change, etc., will not be accepted. In this case, press the ALARM INTERRUPT button to forcibly stop the motion detection function for a period of 5 minutes. During this time, settings can be changed. This manual stop is automati- cally restored after 5 minutes and the history of the manual stop is left in the <WARNING LOG LIST> screen. To cancel the alarm interrupt, press the ALARM INTERRUPT button again. The ALARM INTERRUPT button does not function while the menu screen is displayed on the monitor.
•For the input signals of alarm recording, ALARM IN terminal on the rear panel is constantly given priority over the others. If the motion detection setting is active, alarm recording is started when the ALARM IN terminal is grounded or when motion is detected.
•The motion detection of this unit may not operate correctly depending on the conditions of the input video signals especially when the “SENSITIVITY” is set to high setting. Be careful when connecting to a system, etc., that is set to alarm when the motion detection function of this unit is operated.
•To perform alarm recording during motion detection, set “TRIGGER” in the <ALARM SETTING> screen to “MD,” “MD/EXT,” or “MD&EXT” and set
•Motion detection does not operate while making settings in the <MOTION DETECTION SETTINGS> screen.
•The motion may not be detected when many motions are detected or many alarm signals are input simultaneously.
