Defining Bar Code Fields

Each bar code field requires a separate definition.

B1. B Bar Code Field.

B2. field# Unique number from 0-999 (0-99 for 9403/9805) to identify

this field.

B3. # of char Maximum number of characters. If th e bar code uses a check

digit, allow an extra character for th e check digit. The actual

maximum number of characters is limite d by the size of the

label and bar code density. Range: 0-2710 (0-100 for

9403/9805). Data Matrix can use up to 2 710 numeric

characters or 2335 alphanumeric charac ters.
