3.Press K or - (Select) to insert the selected symbol.

Note: If you select the Smiley symbol :) a new grid will appear displaying additional “emoticons.” Selecting SYM will return you to the original symbol grid.

Deleting Text

1.Place the cursor to the right of the text that you want to delete.

2.Press B to delete one letter at a time.

– or –

Press and hold B to delete the entire message.

Punctuation and Other Characters

You can enter the following characters using 1: . , @ 1 ? ! * # /

Tip: All of these characters (except “1”) can also be entered using Symbols from the Options menu. See “Entering Symbols” on page 39.

To enter “1” you can also press and hold 1. To switch back to punctuation, press and hold 1 again.

To enter punctuation using 1:

1.Press 1 as many times as required to display the desired character.

2.Enter the next character.

Wait a moment; the cursor automatically shifts to the right. Enter the next character.

Note: The iTAP software automatically adds a space after each word. When you enter punctuation, this space is removed.
