6.Use the L/R buttons on the Navigation key to scroll through the available settings. To save, press U or D. (The previous or next menu item is now highlighted.)

Press K or - (Select) to use the detailed screen, set as desired, and press K or - (Done) to save.

Auto Volume

Auto Volume helps you hear low volume transmissions by automatically raising the volume when necessary.

To adjust the Auto Volume:

1.Press - (Menu) or K to access the main menu.

2.Select Settings and press K or - (Select).

3.Select Sounds and press K or - (Select).

4.Select Volume and press K or - (Select).

5.Select Auto Volume and press K or - (Select).

6.Read the description and press K or - (OK).

7.Use the U/D buttons on the Navigation key to select On or Off, and press K or - (Select) to save.

Ringer Types

Ringer types help you identify incoming calls and messages. You can assign ringer types to individual Phone Book entries, types of calls, and types of messages.

Preprogrammed Ringers include a variety of standard ringer types and familiar music.

Vibrating Ringer alerts you to calls or messages without disturbing others.

Selecting Ringer Types for Voice Calls

1.Press - (Menu) or K to access the main menu.

2.Select Settings and press K or - (Select).

3.Select Sounds and press K or - (Select).

4.Select Ringer Types and press K or - (Select).
