Working With the microSD Card

Formatting the microSD Card

Your phone automatically formats your microSD card. However, if you cannot save files on your microSD, you may need to format the card yourself.

To format your microSD card:

1.Insert the microSD card. See “Inserting the microSD Card” on page 129.

2.Press S> Tools > File Manager > External Memory.

3.Press Options (right softkey) > Format. (A warning will be displayed.).

4.If you are sure you wish to remove all the files from your microSD card, press Yes (left softkey).

Note: The formatting procedure erases all the data on the microSD card, after which the files CANNOT be retrieved. To prevent the loss of important data, check the contents before you format the card.
