Transferring Files Between Your Phone and Your PC

You can transfer files such as music, pictures, and video between your phone and Bluetooth-enabled PC or similar device. You do this using the File Transfer Profile (FTP) in your phone and the Bluetooth FTP client software found in most Bluetooth-enabled PCs. No external FTP client is necessary.

Before transferring files, your phone must be paired with a PC. (For information on pairing, see “Paired Devices” on page 166.) After pairing, you can browse and transfer folders and files between your PC and your phone’s internal memory or the microSD card inserted in your phone.

The types of files you can transfer in this way are stored in the following locations:

In the phone’s memory:

For music, the audio folder.

For pictures, the incamera folder.

For video, the incamcorder folder.

On the microSD card:

For music, the Music folder or Media folder.

For pictures, the DCIM folder.

For video, the DCIM folder.
