Transmission type

[Unicast port (AUTO), Unicast port (MANUAL), Multicast]

<Initial setting: Unicast port (AUTO)>

The transmission system for the H.264 images is selected here.

Unicast port

With this setting, up to 14 users can

(AUTO)

access one camera at the same time.

 

When sending images from the unit,

 

“Unicast port(image)” is selected

 

automatically.

 

If there is no need to always use the

 

same port number for sending the

 

H.264 images in cases where the unit

 

is used in a network, for instance, it

 

is recommended that “Unicast port

 

(AUTO)” be selected.

 

 

Unicast port

With this setting, up to 14 users can

(MANUAL)

access one camera at the same time.

 

When sending images from the

 

camera, “Unicast port (MANUAL)”

 

must be set manually.

 

When sending H.264 images over

 

the internet, always use the same

 

communication-enabled port number

 

that is set in the broadband router

 

(hereafter, the “router”).

 

For further details, refer to the

 

operating instructions of the router

 

used.

Multicast

With this setting, the number of users

 

who can access one camera at the

 

same time is unlimited.

 

When sending H.264 at the “Multicast”

 

setting, input the “Multicast address”,

 

“Multicast port”, and “Multicast TTL/

 

HOPLimit”.

 

 

Note

ppWhen “Unicast port (MANUAL)” has been selected, the “Unicast port(image)” must be set.

Unicast port(image) [1024 to 50000] (Only even numbers can be set)

The Unicast port number (used when sending images from the unit) is input here.

Multicast address

[Setting range: 224.0.0.0 to 239.255.255.255]

<Initial setting: 239.192.0.20>

The Multicast IP address is input here.

The images are sent to the specified IP address.

Note

ppInput the address after checking which Multicast IP addresses can be used.

Multicast port [1024 to 50000] (Only even numbers can be set)

<Initial setting: 37004>

The Multicast port number (used when sending images from the unit) is input here.

Note

ppIf “Multicast” has been selected as the “Transmission type” setting, the Multicast address must be set.

Multicast TTL/HOPLimit [1 to 254]

<Initial setting: 16>

The Multicast TTL/HOP Limit is input here.

ppWhen sending H.264 images over the internet or VPN, the

images sent may not be displayed.

In a case like this, check with the network administrator.

ppWhen displaying Multicast images using a personal computer into which a multiple number of LAN cards have been inserted, disable the LAN card that will not be used to receive the images.
