Password Communications

Password Communications, i ncluding Password Transmission and P assword Reception will prevent your

machine from sending a fax to a wrong s tation or receiving a fax from an unaut horized stations. You can set

Password Transmission and Password Reception independently, or both together.

To use Password Transmission, you must se t a 4-digit transmission password in advance. Th e password

must be shared with ot her compatible Panafax machine(s) . If the transmission passw ord in your machine

does not match the tr ansmission password in the o ther compatible Panafax machine( s), the transmission

will fail. You can select pass word transmission by setting Function 8-4 (PASSWORD-XMT) to "ON" when

you send a document.

To use Password Reception, you must set a 4- digit receiving password in advance. The password must be

shared with the other compatible Panafax machine(s). If the passwor d in your machine does not match the

receiving password in the other compatible Panafax machine(s), the reception will fail. Once you set

password reception and set the parameter to “ON”, it stays un til you change the settin g to “OFF”.

You can only use password transmission and rece ption with another Panafax compatible machine(s) lis ted

below.
