Performance Tests: Resident Self Tests

Information Types

There are three tabs in the RST window:

The Info tab shows software, hardware, and system information. See “Information Types” on page 109.

The Test tab invokes various test modes and displays test status and results. See “Tests” on page 111

The Log tab displays errors and test parameter data in the event viewer and displays service log entries in the service log. See “Viewing Error Logs” on page 119. There is also a service log on the Log tab, for service personnel to record information about the system. See “Using the Service Log” on page 125.

The RST application provides information on the hardware and the software of the ultrasound system. You can select the Info tab and choose specific information types in the tree control. Choosing a tree item and pressing the Select key opens a drop-down list that contains Save Info and Print Info functions. Information can be saved to a text file or printed on a connected plain paper printer.

System Information

The RST application provides system information that includes the system serial number, the institution name, installed software and hardware options, and installed peripherals. Figure 6-7, on page 108 illustrates this display.

The software information provided includes the revision number and the revision date and time of the operating system, the main ultrasound application, and the common off-the-shelf (COTS) software.
