Use proper ESD precautions for the vacuum itself and when removing circuit boards for

 

vacuuming. See “ESD Safeguards” on page 139.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

CAUTION

Because the M2540A’s circuit boards have components on both sides, use caution when

 

removing them from the system. After removal, make sure the boards lie flat on an ESD

 

protected surface. Use adequate ESD safeguards when performing any service or maintenance

 

procedure. See “ESD Safeguards” on page 139.

 

 

Perform all RST and system checks to verify performance.

Degaussing the Monitor

To degauss the monitor, press the two right-hand monitor buttons at the same time.
