Preventive Maintenance:

CAUTION

 

Do not use any solvent other than water to wash the air filter. Other solvents may attack its

 

material.

 

 

 

 

4.Dry the filter thoroughly before replacing it in the system. Compressed air can speed drying.

5.Reverse step 1 and step 2 to complete the procedure.

Cleaning the Trackball

To clean the trackball:

1.Unscrew and remove the bezel that surrounds the trackball in the surface of the system control panel. A paper clip inserted in one of the small holes in the bezel can help to start unscrewing the bezel.

2.Press up from under the trackball and remove it.

3.Clean the trackball with an alcohol-dampened pad.

4.Clean the two encoder shafts and the bearing surface with an alcohol-dampened pad.

5.Reverse step 1 and step 2 to reinstall the trackball.

Cleaning the e-box

Inspect the interior of the e-box for dust (See “Replacing E-box Circuit Boards” on page 151), and vacuum as necessary.
