The Maintenance menu is used to display detailed information about the TLS and its operating history, and to test the functionality of the liquid crystal display and menu control keys. The Maintenance menu is available to the system user and is considered safe. The user cannot break anything by using, or misusing, this menu. Diagrams showing the entire structure of the Maintenance menu system are shown in Figure 8-1and Figure 8-2.

The following sections explain the Fibre Channel menus in detail. An explanation of the remaining menu items are contained in the specific TLS models Technical Service Manual. Not all values or menu items appear at all times; some depend upon the model of library in use, other configuration parameters and incomplete prerequisite conditions.
