Selecting Copy Paper

There are two ways to select copy pa- per:

❖Auto Paper Select

The machine selects a suitable size

2 of copy paper automatically based on the original size and the repro- duction ratio.

❖Manual Paper Select

You can select the desired copy pa- per size manually. You can also se- lect the bypass tray.

size might not be detected correct- ly. See ⇒ P.21 “Sizes Difficult to De- tect”.

❒When you set special paper, such as recycled paper, in the paper tray, you can have the kind of pa- per shown on the display. See “14. Sp. Paper Ind.” of the System Set- tings.

❒If a paper tray has been specified as containing special paper, Auto Paper Select cannot use it. See “14. Sp. Paper Ind.” of the System Set- tings.

❒If you set all paper trays to special paper, you cannot use the Auto Pa- per Select function.
