DVR Management Menu

To resume a stopped recording session:

When [OVERWRITE] is set to “OFF” and the hard disk runs out of free space during a recording session, the system automatically stops the recording session.

If this is the case, you can click the [Disk Full Reset] button to switch to the overwrite mode and resume the recording session.

The system switches to the overwrite mode when you resume the stopped recording session using the [Disk Full Reset] button. In this case, however, the system behaves differently than when the “ON” radio button is selected in the [OVERWRITE] section on the window: it exits from the overwrite mode as soon as the recording session restarts. Thus, if the disk runs out of space again, the system stops the recording session again.

To remain in the overwrite mode, you have to select the “ON” radio button in the [OVERWRITE] section on the window.

The [Disk Full Reset] button is only enabled when [OVERWRITE] is set to “OFF” and the hard disk runs out of free space.

This means that you cannot use the [Disk Full Reset] button if there is any free space on the disk.

4SERIES REC (default: OFF)

When multiple DVRs are connected in series via their SERIES REC terminals, you can enable the Series Recording mode, in which a recording session is automatically continued from one hard disk to another when the first hard disk becomes full and unable to accommodate the video data, and so on.

When you use the Series Recording mode, you have to specify how many minutes earlier than the hard disk becoming full the series recording mode should be activated.

Available options:

OFF: Disables the Series Recording mode.

-1M:One minute earlier

-2M:Two minutes earlier

-3M:Three minutes earlier

The model DSR-M800 does not support the Series Recording mode.

5ALARM MODE (default: ENABLED)

By selecting an option from the drop-down list, you can control how the alarm mode should work in combination with the timer recording feature.

Available options:

OFF: Disables the alarm recording mechanism.

ENABLED:

Always enables the alarm recording mechanism, independently of the timer recording settings.

AL-REC ON TIMER:

Enables the alarm recording mechanism only when a timer recording is in progress.

AL-REC OFF TIMER:

Enables the alarm recording mechanism only when the timer recording is not in progress.

OLY AL-REC ON TMR:

Enables the alarm recording mechanism only during the hours for which a timer recording is scheduled.

(In this case, setting up the timer recording feature does not put it into standby state.)
