System connection A particular type of ISDN connection. In the Euro ISDN, either the ba- sic rate access or the primary rate access can be used for a system connection. The system connection is a point-to-point connection.

Terminal adapter A device for interface adaptation, e.g. for connecting analog terminals to an ISDN basic rate access.
